Well after the horrible day from my uncle dying yesterday, managed to get some slight good news about masters funding accepted.

Well a minor heat wave here in Glasgow.  Just enjoying it at the moment and my plan to create a 5 a day app soon.

Finding a purpose

Welcome back again

Now I am working to try and find a purpose for my blog.

At first I used it for life, ideas.  Now trying to create a branding purpose that will make it sucessful.  I think generally as long as you and I find it fun it will get there.

My purpose will be revealed in the next few days I think

Toastmasters 1 - Grammarian goal acheived

Well  today task invovled my first role at toastmasters.


For those that do not know toastmasters here is a link explaining it in more detail - http://toastmasterclub.org/portal.php?marknow=0

But the basics is that it is a club for improving your listening, speaking, communication and leadership skills.


Tonight I was a grammarian.  This invovled me selecting a word of the day - Lodestar, which I had not heard of before.

This was an intriguing word - basically it was a noun meaning that it was someone or something that you use as a guiding principle, ambition or model and I felt it went down very well.

I also kept lots of notes on the speakers tonight which were very good language wise and I felt it was a fantastic performance.

The only critiscims I got were that sometimes I was a bit nervous, but felt that this will disapper with time.

New book published

Well after a bit of a break up in perth, finally got myself back to work.

Perth and mother's day

Well visiting inlaws in city of Perth today.  So far it's been sunny, busy with getting everything ready but sure it will be good one for mothers day here.

App built and sorted

Well now been working on updating an app been building for some time.  I finally got it done updated and published it.

If your interested its called its scotlands ball.  Only Android store for now but think it's a nice fun app - leave some good feedback and will see if can improve any flaws in it.

Success book published

Well after a lot of work I got the book sorted and published.  Still waiting on it going live but it should not take long now

New year.  Finally back to writing again.  Has been busy last year but now have my new year resolve and hoping it will be effective.

First off plan to see if can get masters sorted out but it's a wait and see about funding etc.  Also getting writing done, both here blogging but also in my websites histologicaltechniques, ICC and SAH.
